The Casey, a stunning Contemporary architrave, comes in 70mm height, with a depth of 21mm and our standard length of 2.4 metres. Choose your preferred wood type from our selection of Pine, Sapele, Tulipwood and Oak, together with your preferred finish.
Contemporary modernism emerged in the early twentieth century, and by the 1920s, with prominent design figures such as Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright and others established their reputations. Following the Second World War its popularity increased alongside the modernist planning ethos that tried to correct the previous failure of architecture and design to meet basic social needs.
One of the designs that is often overlooked yet offers a quality that has some softer lines. It is typical of the Modernist period yet does not feel as angular as some of the other contemporary designs.
A simple architrave that combines a pyramid section with an angled section to provide real movement in the inner section of the architrave.
